Summary

NG Bailey Facilities Services is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team on an exciting new-build commercial development in the heart of Manchester city centre. This landmark project is the latest addition to our growing portfolio and requires a high-specification environment with exceptional service delivery.

As part of our on-site engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across state-of-the-art systems within a modern commercial setting. You will also support high standards of building performance, safety, and customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering PPM related primarily to Mechanical Building Services Plant and Systems in line with agreed programmes / SLA's to meet Client and Statutory Compliance.
• Completing remedial works identified through Planned Preventative Maintenance and reactive works upon request.
• Maintaining premises to a high standard.
• Keeping all site documentation up to date for regular audits by internal or external parties.
• Assisting with supervision of sub-contractor works, ensuring compliance and adherence to H&S standards when required.
• Core hours are Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:00. Onsite parking available. Call out duty is 1 in 4.

Candidate requirements:

An experienced Mechanical Technician with a high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) within a commercial occupied environment, with a focus on customer service.

Qualifications include:

• NVQ Level 2-3 (Mechanical Discipline e.g., Heating and Ventilating or City and Guilds equivalent).
• Knowledge of Mechanical Plant/Plumbing related Building Services PPM's carried out in line with SFG20 and remedial work.
• Competent knowledge of Air Handling Units, Building Management Systems, Air Conditioning equipment, Cold Water systems, Heating and Ventilation systems, Water Treatment.
• IOSH Working / Managing Safely (Desirable).
• Safe systems of work procedures such as PTW and RAMS (Desirable).
