Job summary

Scape Hammersmith is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join our on-site team. You will perform reactive and preventative maintenance across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, decorating and general repairs while adhering to Health & Safety standards.

You will work with the site maintenance team, manage subcontractors, handle on-call duties in the UK, and ensure stock control and tidy plant rooms. A DBS check and references are part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Eligible to live and work in the UK.
• Strong team player and customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance work (carpentry, tiling, basic plumbing, basic electrical, guttering, decorating, plastering, kitchen and bathroom maintenance and more).
• Carry out fault finding and leak investigations.
• Carry out repairs and/or additional work arising from examinations and investigations.
• Comply with Health & Safety processes and responsibilities.
• Complete reports and paperwork as required.
• Oversee and work alongside the maintenance team of your site and the work carried out.
• Stock-taking and keep records of stock levels.
• Ensure plant rooms and other maintenance areas are kept tidy and equipment checked regularly.
• Direct specialist sub-contractors when they visit site.
• Replace light switches, receptacles, bulbs and fixtures.
• Handle emergencies and unplanned repairs.
• Participate in on-call system within the UK.
• Be responsible for keys and locks within the site.
• Undertake painting duties where applicable.
• Adhere to company Policies and Procedures.
