Job summary

Catering is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the facilities management team at Hemel Hempstead. Based primarily at the client site, you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across building services, ensuring safety, compliance and reliable operations.

You will work across mechanical, plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems, with support to escalate specialist work when needed and to improve system reliability. Travel to nearby sites is included.

Qualifications

• Experience in Facilities Management or building services.
• Recognised Level 3 engineering qualification.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive and reactive maintenance on building services.
• Fault-find and resolve issues in mechanical, plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate records using Infraspeak and update client/Facilities Management team.
• Supervise subcontractors, review RAMS and ensure safe working practices.
• Adapt work to client operations to minimise disruption and identify improvements.
• Escalate out-of-skill work to Engineering Team Leader or Facilities Manager.
