Job summary

Allied Mills, part of Associated British Foods, invites applications for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician at our Trafford Park mill in Manchester. You will perform planned, predictive and reactive maintenance to keep production running safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with quality and legal standards.

The role requires hands-on repairs, regular inspections and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• A recognised engineering apprenticeship with formal qualification.
• Experience as a maintenance engineer in FMCG/food/drink environments.
• Experience with 3-phase motors, PLCs and pneumatic systems.
• Good computer literacy and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate to site quality, environmental and safety procedures.
• Contribute to continual improvement of plant and processes across departments/sites.
• Perform daily monitoring inspections and self-audits on a weekly rota.
• Respond quickly to unscheduled plant stoppages and faults.
• Record labour and materials in Maximo; carry out PM/PdM as required.
• Carry out repairs to plant equipment and services safely and efficiently.
• Assist in budgeting and cost reduction initiatives.
