Description

We are looking for 2 talented Multi Skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our DTO Product Development Business Unit in UK, Darlington, County Durham, United Kingdom.

These are permanent positions with the following shift patterns:

• HC Rota 3 shift rotation weekly:
• Mornings (Monday to Friday 6.00am to 2.00pm)
• Afternoons (Monday to Friday 2.00pm to 10.00pm)
• Nightshift (Sunday to Thursday 10.00pm to 6.00am)
• HC Weekend shifts workdays 7:00am-7:00pm and nights 7:00pm – 7:00am over a 4-week period, including:
• Fri/Sat/Sun Days
• Fri/Sat/Sun Nights
• Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon Days
• Fri/Sat/Sun Nights

Impact in this role

• Proactively maintain and repair equipment across multiple facility areas.
• Maintain process capability and reliability to ensure maximum machinery and equipment availability.
• Operate Development Test Cells efficiently, prioritizing based on performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and prevent potential issues.
• Enhance safety and quality by ensuring equipment operates safely.
• Demonstrate adaptability with a rotating shift schedule.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong troubleshooting skills, with experience in mechanical systems maintenance.
• Ability to assess safety risks, prioritize tasks, and make effective decisions.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with team members and external suppliers.
• Ability to work independently, manage a 24/7 shift schedule, and respond promptly to breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Respond to test cell breakdowns, ensuring all cells are operational for testing.
• Work on a 24/7 shift schedule providing maintenance and breakdown support.
• Maintain test cell equipment and support systems, assist in engine testing.
• Prioritize safety, assess problems and risks before repairs, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Order parts and coordinate with external suppliers for timely repairs.

Qualifications

• HNC qualification in a related field.
• NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds 2365 Level 3.
• City and Guilds 2382-15 18th Edition.
