ReFood is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Shift Engineer for its third state-of-the-art Anaerobic Digestion and transfer station in Dagenham. The role is a 12-hour shift pattern (4 on / 4 off) days and nights, including weekends, offering opportunities to develop skills and contribute to sustainable resource recovery.

Qualifikationen

• Must have a recognised apprenticeship.
• CGLI or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Engineering experience is advantageous, especially in anaerobic digestion environments.
• Experience with isolations and LOTO (Mechanical & Electrical).
• Dual skilled mechanical/electrical is desirable.
• Experience with centrifugal, lobe, diaphragm, and screw pumps.
• Able to replace shafts, seals, bearings, pipework and couplings.
• Confident with valve replacements and basic pneumatics.
• Must be comfortable working at height.
• Basic IT skills required.
• Flexible approach to working hours.
• Analytical approach to problem solving.
• Excellent communication at all levels.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision.

Aufgaben

• Risk assess all jobs before work begins.
• Undertake planned preventative maintenance and lubrication of plant assets (pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves).
• Complete reactive tasks per defect list and read readings from site meters.
• Assist with contractor and third-party asset services and housekeeping.
• Complete logs and job sheets as required.
• Participate in projects, continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principles.
• Adhere to Site and Saria Group Health & Safety regulations; attend health and safety training.
• Install and maintain equipment to minimize production interruptions.
• Take on ad hoc duties as required by ReFood management.
