Job summary

G's Group is seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will maintain and improve factory machinery, respond to breakdowns, and support continuous improvement to maximise uptime and safety.

You will work to planned preventative maintenance schedules, diagnose faults quickly, and collaborate with colleagues to implement effective solutions. The role involves stock management, ordering parts, and providing technical support to sites and contractors.

Qualifications

• Maintenance engineering experience in manufacturing or similar environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving on mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Diagnose faults quickly and minimise downtime.
• Prioritise maintenance to meet production targets.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in engineering projects and equipment fabrication where required.
• Assist with engineering stores management and stock levels.
• Order equipment and replacement components as needed.
• Provide technical advice to third-party sites and contractors.
• Coach and share knowledge to strengthen team capability.
• Maintain housekeeping, hygiene and safety standards.
• Provide leadership cover in absence of the Engineering Manager or Team Leader.
