Job summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) to join their engineering team in Doncaster. This is a site-based role with no travel required in a highly automated production environment where reliability and continuous improvement are essential.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems, and support production

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Experience as Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance Engineer or similar.
• Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience in manufacturing/FMCG/fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance and continuous improvement processes.
• Experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems incl. hydraulics/pneumatics.
• Experience with PLCs/SCADA/automation beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Maintain conveyors, elevators, packaging machinery and automated equipment.
• Install, service and modify pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Support CI initiatives to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Work with operations teams to maximise production efficiency.
• Complete maintenance documentation and ensure H&S and quality standards.
