Job summary

English Provender Company Ltd. is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer at its Thatcham site. The role covers electrical and mechanical maintenance, breakdown response, and preventative work on a busy food manufacturing line producing condiments for major retailers.

The position offers a 40-hour week with a 52,000 £ salary; a strong engineering team, ongoing training, and a comprehensive benefits package including pension, life insurance, gym access and on-site parking.

Qualifications

Multi-skilled maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
Engineering qualification – City & Guilds qualification.
Experience with electrical and mechanical fault finding.

Responsibilities

General maintenance across all manufacturing equipment.
Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs.
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance routines.
Installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Supporting project work and continuous improvement activities.
Maintaining engineering workshop equipment and services.
Conducting regular factory inspections and reporting defects.
Training production staff on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
Maintaining maintenance records and engineering documentation using CMMS systems.
