Job summary

Aviva plc in Colne, Lancashire is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support planned and reactive maintenance across site machinery in a fast-paced FMCG/food manufacturing environment. You will work rotating days shifts (05:30am to 1:00pm, then weekly rotations) and contribute to reducing downtime while maintaining health, safety and food standards.

A hands-on, proactive approach with conveyors, motors, pumps and packaging equipment is essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering.
• FMCG or food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability.
• Experience with conveyors, motors, pumps and packaging equipment.
• Proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance across production equipment
• Reactive breakdown response and fault finding
• Mechanical and electrical repairs
• Supporting production line efficiency and changeovers
• Monitoring equipment performance and reliability
• Working closely with production teams to reduce downtime
