Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias) for a well-established manufacturing business in Sherburn in Elmet. The role involves PPM, reactive maintenance and fault-finding on electrical and mechanical systems.

You will work on a variety of production machinery, diagnosing faults on motors, sensors, contactors and control systems, and contribute to equipment reliability while adhering to site safety standards.

Qualifications

• Electrical fault-finding and mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, production or industrial environments.
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds or equivalent preferred.
• Comfortable working a rotating double-day shift pattern.
• Strong commitment to safety and site standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Fault finding and repairing electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Work on a range of production and manufacturing machinery.
• Diagnose faults on motors, sensors, contactors, inverters and control systems.
• Complete mechanical repairs involving bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps and other equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
• Support machinery improvements, installations and modifications.
• Identify recurring faults and help improve equipment reliability.
• Ensure all engineering work is completed safely and to site standards.
• Work closely with production and other engineering team members.

Questech Recruitment are currently supporting a well-established manufacturing business in the Sherburn in Elmet area who are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Electrical bias.

Location: Sherburn in Elmet

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Shifts: Monday to Friday – Rotating 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Fault finding and repairing electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Working on a range of production and manufacturing machinery.
• Diagnosing faults on motors, sensors, contactors, inverters and control systems.
• Completing mechanical repairs involving bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps and other equipment.
• Responding efficiently to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
• Supporting machinery improvements, installations and modifications.
• Identifying recurring faults and helping improve equipment reliability.
• Ensuring all engineering work is completed safely and to site standards.
• Working closely with production and other engineering team members.

The Successful Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias.
• Has previous experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
• Has strong electrical fault-finding skills.
• Has a good working knowledge of mechanical maintenance.
• Ideally holds a relevant engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Is comfortable working a rotating double-day shift pattern
