Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in Eynsham near Oxford is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to keep manufacturing equipment running safely and reliably in a 24/7 operation. You will work on a rotating day shift, across mechanical and electrical systems, balancing reactive fault-finding with planned maintenance and TPM initiatives.

You will own repairs, contribute to root cause analysis, manage parts, and support continuous improvement while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship, NVQ, BTEC or equivalent qualification.
• Strong experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Balanced background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Calm, methodical fault-finding and root cause analysis.
• Ability to plan and implement safe, effective repairs with risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Respond to equipment and facility failures to restore safe operation.
• Take responsibility for start-up/shut-down and parameter checks.
• Monitor systems and record performance data for analysis.
• Deliver planned maintenance activities and TPM initiatives.
• Update maintenance management system after work completed.
• Carry out routine checks and condition monitoring (vibration, fluids, welds, vacuum).
• Support safety culture and local spare parts management.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Assist with simple PLC modifications or mechanical design improvements.
