Job summary

ATA Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a modern, highly automated Bristol facility. You will maintain automated production equipment, including conveyors, presses, robotics and PLC systems, in a large, safety‑conscious manufacturing environment.

The role offers a 5 on 5 off continental shift pattern (days and nights), ongoing training and clear progression within a large UK group.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification at Level 3 or above (Electrical or Multi-Skilled).
• Previous maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and fault find.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Work on 3-phase systems, motors, sensors and control equipment.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of a wide range of automated production equipment, including:

• Automated production machinery
• Conveyors and material handling systems
• Presses and manufacturing equipment
• Robotics and automated systems
• Electrical and mechanical plant equipment

Key responsibilities include

• Responding to equipment breakdowns and carrying out fault finding

Essential Requirements

• Engineering qualification at Level 3 or above (Electrical or Multi-Skilled)
• Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work a 5 on 5 off and 4 on 4 off days and nights shift pattern
