Job summary

The Curve Group is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance across plant and equipment, ensuring reliability and safety.

Working with the Engineering Manager, you will plan, execute and document preventive and reactive maintenance, fault-find, and support installation and commissioning of automated equipment, using a hands-on, meticulous approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Electrical and mechanical maintenance across plant and equipment.
• Fault-finding on automated manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to work with PLC systems and electrical controls.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance across plant, machinery and building equipment.
• Complete planned preventative and reactive maintenance within set timeframes.
• Fault-find and repair a range of automated manufacturing equipment.
• Carry out electrical installations in line with current regulations.
• Support installation, commissioning and maintenance of automated manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose PLC fault-finding and electrical control issues.
• Work with drives, motors and pumps to ensure reliability.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules using a CMMS.
• Identify recurring faults and propose improvements.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet targets.
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety policies.

Due to continued growth and investment, we are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our expanding engineering team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a practical and proactive engineer to play a key role in maintaining and improving a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working closely with the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for keeping plant, machinery and facilities running safely and efficiently through a combination of planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.

The Role:

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will:

• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance across plant, machinery and building equipment.
• Complete planned preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring work orders are completed within agreed timeframes.
• Fault-find and repair a range of automated manufacturing equipment.
• Carry out electrical installations in line with current regulations.
• Support the installation, commissioning and maintenance of automated manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical control issues, including PLC fault-finding.
• Work with AC/DC drives, motors and pumps.
• Undertake mechanical repairs and support other engineering disciplines where required.
• Maintain and document preventative maintenance schedules using a CMMS.
• Identify recurring faults and proactively develop solutions to improve equipment reliability.
• Work independently and as part of a wider engineering team to achieve maintenance and production targets.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company health & safety policies and procedures.
• Take a proactive approach to problem-solving, considering different options to find effective and practical solutions.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced maintenance engineer with a strong practical background within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.

Ideally, you will have:

• A City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering.
• Experience working with PLC systems and electrical controls.
• Knowledge of AC/DC drives, motors and pumps.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment.
• Ideally, an apprentice-trained engineering background.
• Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of high-temperature ovens and blow moulders would be advantageous.
• A strong understanding of health & safety within an engineering environment.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• A hands-on, meticulous approach with genuine pride in the quality of your work.
