Job summary

Müller UK & Ireland is seeking a highly skilled Unit Maintenance Technician (Multi-Skilled Engineer) for our Telford site. You will join the Engineering team to perform reactive and planned maintenance in a fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing environment, ensuring safety, reliability and high OEE.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical and automation faults, performing CMMS-driven maintenance, and collaborating with Production to maximise equipment

Qualifications

• Time-served engineering apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a multi-skilled maintenance environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding skills.
• Experience maintaining machinery within manufacturing / FMCG environments.
• Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and automated production lines.
• Experience with preventative maintenance systems and planned maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Excellent communication and team-working skills.

• Maintaining pumps, valves, filling equipment, process systems and fast-moving production machinery.
• Ensuring all equipment is safe and fully operational before returning it to service.
• Identifying root causes of equipment failures and implementing permanent corrective actions.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Working collaboratively with Production and Operational teams to achieve site performance targets.
• Maintaining engineering standards that support safety, quality and OEE performance.

Contract: Permanent / Full time

Salary:£57,289 per annum plus paid overtime at 1.5x rate

Hours / Shift: 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights, 7am - 7pm / 7pm - 7am (42 hours on average)

Essential:

• Time-served engineering apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent engineering qualification

• Experience working within a multi-skilled maintenance environment
