Job summary

Müller UK & Ireland in Manchester is seeking an Engineering Technician to keep dairy production lines running at peak efficiency. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, and drive improvements across site operations.

In a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment, you’ll support reliability initiatives, work with modern equipment, and help maintain safety, quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to maximise equipment performance.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
• Experience of planned and reactive maintenance in manufacturing or similar environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills and safety commitment.
• Knowledge of automation and continuous improvement tools is advantageous.

Are you an experienced Engineering Technician who enjoys fault-finding, solving problems and keeping manufacturing operations running at their best?

Join Müller Milk & Ingredients at our Manchester site as an Engineering Technician, where you'll play a key role in maintaining, improving and supporting our production operations across our Dairy facilities.

Contract: Permanent
Location: Manchester

What will you be doing:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to maximise equipment performance.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Maintain a range of production and manufacturing equipment.
• Work safely and in line with company standards.
• Collaborate with operational teams to support site performance.

What are we looking for:

• Someone who enjoys problem-solving, teamwork and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Previous maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing or other fast-paced production environments
• HNC Electrical preferred, or Mechanical with strong electrical competence.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience of planned and reactive maintenance.
• Knowledge of automation and continuous improvement tools is advantageous.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive approach to improving equipment reliability.
• Commitment to high standards of safety, quality and performance.
