Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias for a days-based role in Peterborough. You will work in a busy manufacturing environment, handling breakdowns, planned maintenance and reliability improvements.

The position requires electrical fault-finding expertise, the ability to read electrical drawings, and experience in a manufacturing setting. Training and development opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns and carry out reactive maintenance in a fast-paced production setting.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance to improve machinery reliability and reduce downtime.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance, including installations and modifications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and safety-audited tasks.

Job description

Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer | Location: Peterborough | Salary: £44,000 – £50,000 | Shift: Days

An established manufacturing company is looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join its busy engineering department. Working within a fast-paced production environment, you will be responsible for responding to breakdowns, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and improving machinery reliability to minimise downtime.

The role will involve both electrical and mechanical maintenance, with a greater focus on electrical fault finding across motors, drives, sensors, control systems and PLC-controlled production equipment. You will also be involved in mechanical repairs, machinery installations, equipment modifications and continuous improvement projects.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• Minimum Level 3 engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)


• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
