Job summary

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (mechanically biased) for a busy Leicester plastics recycling site. You will work 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts, with unlimited overtime and a £42K base, aiming for £50K+ OTE.

You will carry out planned preventative maintenance across conveyors, motors, gearboxes and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, with strong fault-finding in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' maintenance engineering experience.
• Strong mechanical maintenance background.
• Strong electrical maintenance background.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, recycling or industrial environment.
• Strong fault-finding and breakdown experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes, bearings and conveyors.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving.
• Full UK Driving License (Desirable).
• Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across the site.
• Responding to mechanical and electrical breakdowns and carrying out repairs.
• Fault finding and diagnosing issues with production and manufacturing equipment.
• Maintaining and repairing conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
• Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Assisting with installation and improvement projects when required.
