Job summary

Greenyard is seeking a highly skilled multi-skilled maintenance engineer with an electrical bias to join our engineering team at Greenyard Frozen UK, based at Kings Lynn site in Norfolk. You will respond to equipment breakdowns, carry out scheduled maintenance, and drive continuous improvement across operations.

The role demands relevant FMCG experience, strong electrical expertise, and a proactive, self-starting mindset to minimise downtime and support safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• Relevant FMCG/food processing/manufacturing experience.
• Electrical bias with strong mechanical understanding.
• Boiler operating experience.
• HACCP awareness and safety culture.
• Electrical test and inspection trained, PLC fault finding skills, welding and PLC training.

Responsibilities

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Focus on the nominated production area to maximise uptime.
• Fault find using machine documentation and history.
• Collaborate with operational staff and work flexibly.
• Drive engineering downtime reduction and continuous improvement.
• Carry out engineering project work.
• Perform other duties as required.

We ae seeking an experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer with an electrical bias to join our engineering team at Greenyard Frozen UK, based at our site in Kings Lynn, Norfolk

• To support the processing operations by responding effectively to equipment breakdowns, carrying out scheduled maintenance work and being proactive on the correction and modification of reoccurring machine processing faults
• To respond effectively to equipment breakdowns and ensure maximum focus is given to their nominated production area
• To fault find in an effective and efficient manner whilst utilising the various machines historic / information documentation
• To establish harmonious relations with the operational staff and to work flexibly with them
• Pro-active in the reduction of engineering downtime and continuous improvement of the process and the department
• Carry out engineering project work
• Other relevant duties as required from time to time.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Relevant experience within a FMCG/food processing/ manufacturing environment
• Relevant experience in industrial and electrical engineering (multi skilled) but stronger bias in electrical
• Formal qualification in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
• Boiler operating experience
• Strong understanding of H&S
• PLC Fault finding/diagnostic skills
• HACCP
• Electrical test and inspection trained
• Welding trained
• PLC trained
• Breathing apparatus and confined spaces qualified
