About the Role:

Who are we, and what do we do?

Avara Foods is one of the UK's leading food businesses, supplying chicken and turkey to major supermarkets and restaurants. We manage our entire supply chain, from farms to the customer door, with processing sites across England and Wales, and over 350 farms.

About our Dudley site:

Located in West Midlands, our Dudley site is a ready-to-cook facility where we add spices and seasonings. During summer, production increases due to higher demand for seasonal products like barbeque foods. The site employs around 400 people and supplies major UK supermarkets and restaurants.

About the Role:

Are you passionate about engineering? Looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a highly competent Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team at Dudley.
This factory-based role involves working in a fast-paced FMCG environment, with some areas being noisy and refrigerated. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 15:30 to 00:00.

What will you be doing?

As a Level 2 Multi Skilled Engineer, you will ensure smooth factory operations through planned maintenance and reactive repairs across multiple areas, gaining experience with specific machinery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing reactive breakdown repairs
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
• Communicating downtime issues
• Improving equipment reliability

Requirements:

• Engineering or maintenance qualifications or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to diagnose and fix equipment faults
• Experience in food or FMCG industries is beneficial
