Job summary

OBR GROUP LIMITED in Bradford is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy production environment. You will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, keeping machinery running safely and with minimal downtime.

Salary up to £43,000 depending on experience, plus monthly bonus incentives. Monday–Friday days, 6:00am–2:00pm or 7:00am–3:00pm, with overtime available at enhanced rates as opportunities arise.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing/production/FMCG environment.
• Strong experience with motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, belts, sensors and valves.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems; PLC fault finding beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs across production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Maintain equipment, spares stock and engineering paperwork.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Bradford

Salary: up to £43,000 DOE + monthly bonus

Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm or 7:00am–3:00pm

We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, international business operating within a busy production environment in Bradford.

The Role:

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across the site, helping to keep machinery running safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime. You will respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and support ongoing improvements to machinery reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns.
• Maintain equipment including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, belts, bearings, sensors, control systems and associated plant.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, spare-parts stock and engineering paperwork.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working within maintenance engineering in a manufacturing, production, FMCG, logistics, food or similar fast-paced environment.
• Strong experience working with motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, belts, sensors and valves.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Basic PLC fault-finding knowledge would be beneficial, although not essential.
