Job summary

Omega Plc is seeking a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to work on site in the Reading area, covering peak periods on a rotating shift. The role requires on-site fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance of automation equipment, and a focus on uptime and process efficiency.

You will work with motors, drives, conveyors, packaging machinery and robots, contributing to continuous improvement and meeting site KPIs in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance engineer with apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in mechanical discipline.
• Experience on production lines; motors, drives, conveyors, packaging machinery and process equipment.
• Proactive fault finding and commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Fault-finding and diagnosis on site.
• Attend to breakdowns onsite ensuring a rapid response on plant equipment and machinery.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on automation machinery including pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and robots.
• Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPI’s through planned, preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Ensure the efficient running of a continuous process, moving and packing high quality products.
• Continually improving performance of equipment and systems to support the development of the site.
• Agree preventative maintenance plans.

Pay Range: £38 per hour

Limited Company, outside scope, PAYE options considered, Rotating Shifts

Key Responsibilities
