Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a role based in Accrington. You will maintain production equipment, carry out planned and reactive maintenance, and fault-find using mechanical and electrical skills to keep operations running smoothly.

The position involves supporting continuous improvement and machinery upgrades in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A relevant engineering qualification and strong problem-solving abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.

• Experience with preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.

Job description

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Location: Accrington | Salary: £43,000 – £49,000 | Shift: Days and Nights.

You will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns, and fault finding across production machinery, using both mechanical and electrical skills to keep operations running smoothly. You will also support continuous improvement, machinery upgrades, installations, and engineering projects in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Non‑negotiable: Mechanical/Electrical maintenance experience.
• Mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills.
• Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Health & safety conscious with a proactive approach.
• Experience working within a production environment.
• Worked on hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
• Good problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Engineering qualification.

Desirable

• PLC fault‑finding experience.
• Continuous improvement or project experience.
• 17th/18th Edition or other relevant electrical qualifications.
