Job summary

Sodexo Ltd is seeking a Multi Skilled Services Engineer - HVAC/Mechanical to maintain hospital building services at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. You’ll perform planned maintenance and fault finding across electrical, HVAC, boiler, and building systems, ensuring reliable operation and patient support.

The role requires multi-disciplinary electrical and mechanical skills, patient-focused service delivery, and willingness to work on-call on a 5-out-of-7 pattern. On-site parking is available.

Qualifications

• 5 years of engineering experience in healthcare or similar environment.
• Experience across mechanical, electrical and building services.
• Ability to diagnose faults and provide effective technical solutions.
• Good organisation, prioritisation and independent working.
• Communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs, inspections, and testing across building services and engineering systems.
• Maintain hospital infrastructure: electrical systems, generators, HVAC, water systems, boilers, lifts, fire alarms, BMS.
• Respond to reactive maintenance and prioritize minimal downtime.
• Undertake multi-skilled duties across mechanical, electrical and building repair.
• Diagnose faults from drawings and install new equipment and systems.
• Coordinate maintenance with Estates, contractors and service managers.
