Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer - Gas Engineer Bias to join our Hard Services team at HSE Buxton.

The role covers planned and reactive maintenance across gas, mechanical and fabric services on a busy site with a focus on safe and efficient operation of gas systems. You will perform preventative maintenance, fault-finding, and statutory inspections, while supporting on-call duties and ensuring high standards of health and safety.

Qualifications

• Hold Gas/Plumbing trade qualifications or certifications.
• Industry exposure within Science or Research Centres.
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance requirements relating to gas and building services maintenance.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across mechanical, electrical and fabric services.
• Undertake fault finding, diagnosis and repair of gas and mechanical systems to ensure continuous service delivery.
• Respond to breakdowns and support the on-call function when required.
• Complete statutory inspections, compliance checks and maintenance activities in line with contractual requirements.
• Carry out plumbing and gas-related tasks, including repairs to toilets, showers, sinks and associated systems, while maintaining high health and safety standards.
