Job summary

Babcock is hiring a Gas Engineer to maintain a diverse estate in Hampshire, focusing on gas, boilers and associated mechanical systems. The role is hands-on with a mix of planned and reactive tasks, requiring a robust safety mindset and the ability to work independently.

Based at Minley near Blackwater, the position offers 40 hours per week with an on-call rota after six months. Applicants must hold core gas safety qualifications and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer.
• Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial gas systems and boilers.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience delivering planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Ability to work independently and safely in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections and compliance checks on gas and mechanical systems.
• Repair, service and fault-find on commercial boilers and related equipment.
• Support mechanical asset replacement, upgrades and refurbishment projects.
• Maintain stock levels and inventory for mechanical maintenance.
• Undertake plumbing maintenance and repairs across the estate.
