Carlsberg Britvic is recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer at Northampton Brewery to maintain, improve and optimise production assets. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work across engineering and production teams to keep operations safe, efficient and reliable.

The role offers a rotating shift pattern (4 on/4 off), a permanent full-time contract, and a competitive salary with extensive benefits including product allowances, private medical, life assurance, a bonus scheme and enhanced

Qualifications

• Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role within FMCG/manufacturing environments.
• CMMS experience; welding/hydraulics/pneumatics or rotating machinery certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• System optimisation — Work with engineering teams to improve performance, reduce downtime and drive technical improvements.
• Mechanical & electrical maintenance — Diagnose and repair faults using advanced tools and techniques.
• Safety & compliance — Ensure full adherence to LOTO, electrical safety and environmental standards, maintaining detailed CBM records.
• Infrastructure support — Maintain site utilities and electrical distribution systems to ensure reliable operation.
• Team collaboration — Partner with production teams and mentor apprentices, supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lean practices — Support 5S, Kaizen and Autonomous Maintenance initiatives.
• Condition monitoring — Conduct vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound and other predictive maintenance activities.
