Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer – Electrical Engineer Bias for a leading facilities management and maintenance contractor in the UK, based in Whitehaven, England.

You will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair works across electrical systems and building services, with responsibilities including fault-finding, diagnosis and repair of distribution boards, motors, pumps, BMS, emergency lighting and general electrical plant.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
• 18th edition.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair works across electrical systems and building services.
• Support mechanical maintenance tasks such as HVAC systems, pumps, valves, air handling units, basic plumbing and basic fabric works.
• Be included in the on-call rota.
• Demonstrate strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience, ideally within facilities management or commercial/industrial building services.
• Ensure all work is in full compliance with BS 7671 and statutory requirements, with documentation maintained.

As the Multi Skilled Engineer – Electrical Engineer Bias, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

The Multi Skilled Engineer – Electrical Engineer Bias will be responsible for:

• You will be carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair works across electrical systems and building services. Responsibilities include fault‑finding, diagnosis and repair of distribution boards, motors, pumps, building management systems, emergency lighting and general electrical plant.
• You will also support mechanical maintenance tasks such as HVAC systems, pumps, valves, air handling units, basic plumbing and basic fabric works.
• You will also be included in the on‑call rota.
• You will have strong electrical fault‑finding and maintenance experience, ideally gained within facilities management or commercial or industrial building services environments.
• All work must be completed in full compliance with BS 7671, technical standards and statutory requirements, with job progress and documentation accurately maintained.

To be successful in this role, you must have:
