SWIFT Temps Ltd. is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join a well-established, local family-run business in Grassington & Keighley.

The role focuses on planned maintenance, fault finding and improvements across plant and services, with involvement in installation and commissioning of new equipment. The ideal candidate will have an electrical qualification, 5+ years in manufacturing, PLC fault finding/ programming experience, and familiarity with FMCG

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering qualification – NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience.
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience with PLC fault finding, repair and programming.
• Experience in FMCG/manufacturing environments.
• Experience with automated electro-mechanical systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and respond to equipment faults.
• Maintain, repair and improve plant, machinery and site services.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
• Install and commission new equipment.
• Support engineering and continuous improvement projects.

MULTI-SKILLED ENGINEER – ELECTRICAL BIAS

Location: Grassington & Keighley
Salary: £21.26 per hour - £53,000
Hours: 48 hours per week, working over 4 days
Holiday: 24 days annual leave

THE ROLE

SWIFT Temps Ltd is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, local family-run business for a Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical background.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planned maintenance, fault finding, repairs and improvements across plant, machinery and services, while also supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment and improvement projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to equipment faults.
• Maintain, repair and improve plant, machinery and site services.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
• Install and commission new equipment.
• Support engineering and continuous improvement projects.
• Carry out PLC fault finding, repair and programming.
• Work with automated electro-mechanical systems.
• Ensure all engineering work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all work complies with food safety and Health & Safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain reliable production operations.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate will have:

• An Electrical Engineering qualification – NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical bias.
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience in PLC fault finding, repair and programming.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within an FMCG/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with automated electro-mechanical systems.
• A minimum of 5 years' manufacturing experience.
