Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a Monday to Friday on-site role in London. The job covers planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and building fabric, with duties including safety, site compliance, and contractor oversight.

You will respond to callouts and support service delivery to meet quality standards. The role requires an NVQ in Electrical/Mechanical or Building Services, a valid driving licence, and IT proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have right to work in the UK.
• NVQ or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services with maintenance experience.
• CSCS Skills card or equivalent qualification.
• Sound knowledge of safety documentation and site safety procedures.
• IT literate with Excel and Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and building fabric systems.
• Ensure all works orders and PPMs meet contract SLAs and KPIs.
• Contribute to overall contract efficiency and profitability.
• Complete service sheets and update site compliance logbooks.
• Monitor and manage contractors to ensure workmanship standards.
• Support the site supervisor to deliver contracted services on time, safely and within budget.
• Provide callout responses for the client per rota.

About The Role

Days of Working: Monday to Friday 0800-1630

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and building fabric systems
• Ensure all delegated reactive works orders and PPMs are completed within the contract-defined time SLAs & KPIs.
• Provide a significant contribution to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and must, therefore, play its part in the overall delivery of service.
• To complete service sheets and update site compliance logbooks accordingly
• To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
• Support the site supervisor with the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services ensuring that all works are delivered, safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Provide a callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota

Essential Hiring Criteria

• Applicant must have the right to work in the UK
• Must have a current, valid driving licence.
• NVQ, or equivalent inElectrical, Mechanical, or Building Services along with proven maintenance experience.
• Sound knowledge of understanding and developing safety documentation to ensure site safety procedures are always followed.
• CSCS Skills card or equivalent qualification.
• Understanding of First Aid
• IT Literate - Basic understanding of Excel & Microsoft products
