Job summary

Reeve is seeking a multi-skilled foot mobile engineer with a background in electrical work to perform initial assessments, repairs, and supervise contractor works on-site. You’ll conduct inspections, fault finding on lighting and small power, and support tenants moving in with practical tasks.

Responsibilities

• First line of service: perform initial assessment, repairs or refer to a specialist contractor on site
• Conduct site inspections and report major repairs needed
• On-site when required to supervise contractors and ensure work meets Kitt standards
• Maintenance and repairs including fault finding on lighting and small power, periodic inspection and testing
• Carry out remedials from own EICRs, containment and small installs, emergency lighting tests
• Handle reactive callouts and planned maintenance to reduce reactive volume
• Support operations during tenants move-ins (whiteboards, TV mounting)
• Perform light carpentry such as building cabinets

Job description

This is a role for a multi-skilled, foot mobile engineer, who has a background in electrical work.

You will be:

• Reeve's first line of service: running a first assessment of the situation: carry out repairs or recommending a specialist contractor on site
• Performing site inspections, identifying and reporting the need for major repairs
• When required, you’ll be present when contractors attend sites and ensure completion of the works are up to Kitt’s standards.
• Performing maintenance and repairs including fault-finding on lighting and small power, periodic inspection and testing, remedials from your own EICRs, containment and small installs, emergency lighting tests, plus reactive callouts and the planned maintenance that keeps the reactive volume down.
• Providing support to the wider operations team during tenants move-ins (whiteboards, fixing TVs on walls etc)
• Performing light carpentry (e.g. building cabinets)

• Proven experience within maintenance or construction.
• Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems
• Basic maths skills.

• Good communication ability and confidence in front of clients. You will be representing Reeve in a professional manner.
• Well-organised with good attention to detail.
• Health and safety is a priority and you can spot problems before they happen.
• Comfortable working alone and also as part of a team.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2382 — 18th Edition (BS 7671 wiring regulations)
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services (2357 or 2346), or time-served with evidence
• ECS/JIB Gold Card — proves the above and gets you on client sites
