Job summary

Russell Taylor Group in Wirral is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer for DAYS only to join a large-scale manufacturing operation. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting and improving production equipment, site services and facility systems to maximise uptime.

The role offers a salary of £45,233 per annum, with overtime rates for weekends and bank holidays. You will hold an engineering qualification and have experience in a manufacturing environment, performing preventative

• HNC, Degree, or equivalent qualification in an Engineering discipline.
• Proven experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience working with planned preventative maintenance systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment faults as part of normal shift activities.
• Respond quickly to production breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Carry out preventative maintenance activities and routine safety inspections.
• Perform fault-finding and diagnostic work on both planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain a variety of production machinery and site services.
• Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed effectively.
• Support engineering and continuous improvement projects.
• Promote and follow all health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational performance.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to resolve recurring issues.
• Investigate equipment failures and identify root causes.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Produce shift reports and communicate effectively during handovers.

Shift Pattern: - Days- 9-5pm
