Yolk Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for Bridgwater manufacturing site. You will cover electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and support installations and projects while working on a Monday-to-Friday double-day shift with no nights and an early finish each Friday.

The role offers a competitive salary of £40,000-£45,000 plus bonus, overtime, 33 days holiday, pension and a range of benefits as the business invests in equipment upgrades and ongoing

Qualifications

• Electrical bias with strong mechanical capability.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Confident fault finding on electrical control panels.
• Comfortable fault finding across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of single and three-phase systems.
• Basic PLC diagnostic experience desirable, not required.
• 17th or 18th Edition advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Reactive and planned maintenance across a busy manufacturing environment.

• Fault finding in electrical control panels across single/three-phase systems.
• Work with motors, drives, servos, relays, sensors and safety systems.
• Basic PLC fault finding and diagnostics.

• Support electrical installations and equipment modifications.
• Participate in new equipment installations and projects.
• Work with on-site engineering team and handle breakdowns independently when required.

Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to move away from nights and 12-hour continental shifts?

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing manufacturing business in Bridgwater, offering a Monday-to-Friday double-day shift, no nights and an early finish every Friday.

The business is continuing to invest across its manufacturing operation, with a strong programme of equipment upgrades and engineering projects planned over the next couple of years. You'll join an experienced engineering team in a varied role covering electrical and mechanical maintenance, automation, installations, improvements and project work.

The Role

• Reactive and planned maintenance across a busy manufacturing environment.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding across production and automated equipment.
• Fault finding within electrical control panels across single and three-phase systems.
• Working with motors, drives, servos, contactors, relays, sensors and machine safety systems.
• Basic PLC fault finding and diagnostics, including I/O checks and identifying machine faults.
• Mechanical maintenance including bearings, gearboxes, shafts, drive systems, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Supporting electrical installations, facilities maintenance and equipment modifications.
• Involvement with new equipment installations and upcoming engineering projects.
• Working as part of an experienced on-site engineering team while being confident managing breakdowns independently when required.

The Person

• Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias and good mechanical capability.
• Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing, production or a similar industrial environment.
• Confident electrical fault finding within control panels.
• Comfortable independently fault finding across both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Good practical understanding of single and three-phase electrical systems.
• Basic PLC diagnostic experience would be beneficial, but programming experience is not required.
• 17th or 18th Edition would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Experience with installations, automation or engineering projects would be beneficial.

Shift

Weekly rotating Monday-to-Friday double days with no nights:

Earlies: 6:00am-2:00pm Monday to Thursday / 6:00am-1:00pm Friday.
Lates: 2:00pm-10:00pm Monday to Thursday / 1:00pm-8:00pm Friday.

Both rotations offer an early finish every Friday.
