Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group Thetford site is a breaded and coated product centre of excellence within the UK Poultry (Added Value) division. It operates as a value-added, non-kill site with no live animals or butchery onsite.

We seek a Multi Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will attend planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering qualification.
• Electrical qualification to NVQ Level 3 minimum.
• Experience in food manufacturing or fast-paced industrial environment.
• Strong fault-finding in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience in reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance.
• Good health and safety knowledge.
• Basic computer skills (Word and Excel).
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Food Safety Level 2 or higher desirable.

Responsibilities

• Attend planned maintenance windows, ensuring equipment is fit for purpose and production ready.
• Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner, delivering the engineering promise.
• Support the Operations team to meet production targets.
• Carry out reactive and proactive mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Document all work in the CMMS and log time against assets.
• Identify, request, and follow up on parts for further work.
• Maintain stock holdings through accurate parts scanning.
• Attend engineering handovers and respond promptly to radio calls.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend planned maintenance windows, ensuring equipment is fit for purpose and production ready

About You

You will be an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias, comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You'll be proactive, disciplined, and able to act with pace while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

• Experience working in a food manufacturing or fast-paced industrial environment
• Strong fault-finding skills in mechanical and electrical systems

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
