Job summary

Astute People is partnering with a well-established food manufacturer at their Pulborough site in the UK to hire a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. The role offers a 4-on/4-off shift pattern from 07:00 to 19:00, with a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will deliver PPM and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, diagnose electrical faults, handle 3-phase and single-phase power, and service motors, pumps, metal detectors, flow wrappers and packaging lines.

Qualifications

• Time served or engineering qualifications.
• 17th/18th edition wiring regulations.
• Experience maintaining industrial machinery, ideally within FMCG.
• Welding experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to maximise performance.

With a strong reputation for quality, innovation and its people, we are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their Pulborough site.

The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role offers a competitive salary, a 4-on/4-off shift pattern working 07:00-19:00, and a comprehensive benefits package. You'll also benefit from free onsite parking and an excellent working environment.

Responsibilities and duties of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will:

• Complete PPM and reactive breakdown maintenance on manufacturing/ industrial/ FMCG machinery to maximise equipment performance.


• Conduct electrical fault-finding with quick response and rectification.


• Perform activities on 3-phase and single-phase power.


• Perform activities on motors, pumps, metal detectors, flow wrappers, ultrasonic utters and packaging equipment etc.


• Other duties as required.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Time served, or engineering qualifications.


• 17th/18th edition wiring regulations.


• Previous experience maintaining industrial machinery, ideally within FMCG.


• Experience with welding is desirable.

Personal skills

The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role would suit someone who is:

• Knowledgeable of both electrical and mechanical duties, with a bias to electrical.


• Hands on and enjoys getting stuck in.
