Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd in Andover, Hampshire is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a fast-paced, high-volume food manufacturing site. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on semi-automated production lines, with a 4 on 4 off shift (days & nights).

The role covers electrical fault-finding, servicing packaging machines, PLCs and conveyors, and you will work within a close-knit engineering team reporting to the Supervisor and Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills (electrical bias).
• UK electrical qualification (C&G / NVQ / BTEC / HNC / HND or similar).

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive maintenance (PPM + breakdowns) on production machinery.
• Electrical fault-finding with mechanical support as required.
• Support uptime and minimise downtime across factory operations.

Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer

Location: Andover, Hampshire

Salary: £55,000

Shift: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)

A standout opportunity has become available for a high-performing Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a well-established, high-volume food manufacturing site. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys a fast-paced environment, wants long-term stability, and is motivated by continuous improvement, training, and progression.

As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you'll be working as part of a close-knit engineering team, reporting into the Supervisor and Engineering Manager, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a semi-automated production facility.

Job Role of the Multi Skilled Engineer

You will be responsible for:

• Planned and reactive maintenance (PPM + breakdowns) on production machinery
• Electrical fault-finding (with mechanical support as required)
• Supporting uptime and minimising downtime across factory operations
• Working on a range of kit including (but not limited to): packaging machines, check weighers, metal detectors, X-ray machines, washers/dryers, vertical fillers, PLCs, conveyors

Non-Negotiable Requirements (Multi Skilled Engineer)

• Proven maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing / factory environment
• Strong hands-on experience with planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced setting
• UK electrical qualification (C&G / NVQ / BTEC / HNC / HND or similar)
