Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Diagnose faults across mechanical and electrical building services.
• Maintain pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, heating and hot-water systems.
• Work on LTHW, chilled-water systems, ventilation and controls.
• Complete plumbing, lighting, small power and general building services maintenance.
• Undertake minor remedial works and first-line fault finding.
• Update and close work orders using CAFM systems.
• Record labour, materials, asset condition and follow-on works.
• Liaise with clients, helpdesk teams and specialist contractors.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, compliance and customer service.

FOOT MOBILE MULTI-SKILLED BUILDING SERVICES ENGINEER

London - Multiple Commercial Sites

Salary: £48,000

Full-time, permanent position

I'm recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial properties throughout London.

This is a foot-mobile role suited to an organised, technically capable engineer who is comfortable travelling between sites using public transport and walking routes.

The Role

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Diagnose faults across mechanical and electrical building services.
• Maintain pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, heating and hot-water systems.
• Work on LTHW, chilled-water systems, ventilation and controls.
• Complete plumbing, lighting, small power and general building services maintenance.

What We're Looking For

• Relevant Level 3 mechanical qualification in mechanical engineering, plumbing, heating, HVAC or building services.
• Relevant Level 3 electrical qualification in electrical installation or maintenance.
• Current 18th Edition qualification where required for the role's electrical duties.
• Strong practical experience across mechanical and electrical building services.
• Previous commercial FM, mobile or multi-site maintenance experience.
• Good fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently.
• Experience using CAFM or mobile work-order systems.
• Ability to organise daily travel across London using public transport and walking routes.
• Relevant health and safety training, including asbestos awareness, manual handling and working at height, or willingness to complete required training.
