Job summary

Morgan Sindall Property Services in Maida Vale, London, is recruiting an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our repairs and maintenance team. You will carry out a wide range of repairs and refurbishments across multiple trades, working in both occupied and void properties, and ensuring high-quality workmanship.

You will use a handheld device to record works and communicate with residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Plumbing or Carpentry.
• Competent in carpentry, plumbing, decorating and mould wash treatments.
• Experience in repairs and maintenance, ideally within social housing.
• Capable of independent multi-trade repair work.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service.
• Organised with ability to manage workload.
• Blue CSCS Card or above preferred.
• Full UK driving licence with 12+ months held.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of multi-trade repairs across carpentry, plumbing and decorating.
• Perform repairs safely and to a high standard in occupied and void properties.
• Record completed works on handheld device and communicate with residents.
• Manage workload effectively to ensure first-time fix where possible.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our repairs and maintenance team based in Maida Vale, London.

About the Role

Working within a social housing environment, you will carry out a wide range of repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works across both occupied and void properties.
You'll be responsible for completing repairs safely, efficiently and to a high standard, ensuring properties are maintained and residents receive an excellent service. Using a handheld device (full training provided), you'll manage your daily workload, record completed works and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.

This is a truly multi-skilled role and will include:

• Carpentry repairs and installations
• Plumbing maintenance and repairs
• Internal and external decorating
• Mould treatment and mould wash works
• General building maintenance tasks
• Locksmithing and lock replacements
• UPVC door and window repairs and adjustments
• Diagnosing and resolving a variety of property repair issues

We're looking for a versatile and motivated individual with a strong repairs and maintenance background who is committed to delivering a high-quality, right-first-time service.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Plumbing or Carpentry
• Be competent in carpentry, plumbing, decorating and mould wash treatments
• Have previous experience working within repairs and maintenance, ideally within social housing
• Be confident carrying out a variety of multi-trade repair works independently
• Have a strong understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices
• Possess excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
• Be organised and able to manage your workload effectively
• Take pride in delivering high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
• Ideally hold a Blue CSCS Card or above
• A full UK driving licence is essential and must have been held for a minimum of 12 months, as a company vehicle will be provided for business use.
