Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our maintenance team in London, supporting plant, equipment and building services on a busy commercial contract.

The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and using CAFM devices to log work. You will liaise with clients and support safety documentation and overtime when needed.

Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship completed or time-served in manufacturing/industrial maintenance.
  • Strong maintenance background across plant, equipment and building services.
  • Electrical qualifications such as City & Guilds 236 Parts 1–2 or equivalent (17th Edition).
  • Mechanical qualifications to City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2.
  • Ability to fault-find electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with 3-phase motors, drives and inverters; PLC diagnostics is a plus.
  • Confident in supervising contractors and managing safety documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across plant, equipment and building services.
  • Identify, assess and manage risks to onsite equipment and update drawings.
  • Support and improve preventative maintenance programmes and ensure compliance.
  • Perform fault-finding across industrial machinery, heavy plant and cranes.
  • Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance team.
  • Work safely on three-phase systems up to 440V and maintain motors, gearboxes, valves and hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical systems.
  • Use CAFM mobile devices to record and complete maintenance work.
  • Liaise with Site Services and clients to resolve building-services issues.
  • Act as responsible person and deputise for the Shift Leader when required.
  • Complete risk assessments and method statements; support ad-hoc duties and overtime.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For
