Dunraven Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Multi Skilled Engineer for our Scunthorpe site. This permanent, full-time role operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with on-site parking and a strong focus on safety and quality in food manufacturing.

You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, and contribute to continuous improvement to maximise reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' engineering experience within the food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong fault-finding in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Good knowledge of preventive and reactive maintenance.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and site safety procedures.

Responsabilités

• Perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance across production and site equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all maintenance follows Health & Safety procedures.
• Support continuous improvement to improve equipment reliability and output.
• Assist with machinery installations, upgrades and improvement projects.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Complete maintenance records using the site's CMMS.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
• Participate in the shift rota, including Bank Holidays.

Key Multi-Skilled Engineer Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production and site equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and production performance.
• Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, and improvement projects as required.
• Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Complete maintenance records accurately using the site's maintenance management system.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.
• Participate in the shift rota, including working Bank Holidays as required within the food manufacturing operation.

Multi-Skilled Engineer Requirements:

Essential:

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities.
• Experience in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years' engineering experience within the food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong understanding of preventative and reactive maintenance techniques.
• Good project management skills with a detailed knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.

Desired:

• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
• HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services.
