Job summary

Morgan Sindall Group is hiring a Multi Skilled Engineer in Leeds to perform responsive and planned repairs in social housing properties. The role involves plumbing, joinery, tiling and bathroom renewals, using a handheld device to manage tasks and ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.

The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 trade qualification, strong Health & Safety knowledge, and experience working in both occupied and void properties.

Multi Skilled Engineer

Salary: £34,000 + Benefits + Company Van

Leeds, LS10 1BL

Permanent – Full Time – 40 Hours

We are looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team in Leeds!

About the role

Working to deliver the best quality service, carrying out responsive and planned repairs to both occupied and void properties, you'll undertake a variety of trade repairs and maintenance work to within the social housing sector, to include minor plumbing, joinery, tiling/wet walling, kitchen repairs and renewals and bathroom repairs including renewals, UPVC window and door maintenance including renewals minor external repairs to gates and fences all within a social housing setting. You'll receive and complete assigned tasks using a handheld device (full training provided), working efficiently and safely in line with best practise to achieve excellent customer experience.

About you

Candidates will hold a minimum NVQ Level 2 trade qualification, with excellent working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements. You'll be customer-focused and have experience working in both occupied and void properties, with a passion for completing high-quality repairs on time and right first time. Previous experience in social housing maintenance is desirable, as is experience in kitchen and bathroom fitting. Basic plumbing skills, including the maintenance and replacement of taps, toilets and baths, are essential. Ideally, you'll also hold a Blue CSCS card.

The role includes participation in the on-call rota , so flexibility and a willingness to provide out-of-hours support are required.

You must hold a valid full or automatic UK driving licence for a minimum of 12 months, own tools and company vehicle with fuel card will be provided for work use only.
