Job summary

JLL is seeking a Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer for on-site work in Derby, supporting Rolls-Royce and other clients. You will design, install and maintain low voltage electrical systems across commercial and industrial settings, collaborating with colleagues globally to deliver reliable, safe environments.

The role emphasizes installation, testing, fault diagnosis, preventive maintenance and strict adherence to health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation (Or Equivalent).
• C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection cert preferred).
• 18th edition.
• Strong Electrical & HVAC experience.
• Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
• Knowledge of building fabric and basic fabric reactive repairs.
• Sound understanding and experience of Health & Safety obligations.
• Must be prepared to work out of hours when required.
• Have good communication and organisation skills.
• Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
• Must have a full UK driving license.
• Ability to work on own or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair low voltage electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, security, emergency lighting and access control.
• Testing and Inspection: Carry out regular testing and inspection to ensure compliance and complete reports.
• Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Identify, diagnose, and fix faults to ensure uninterrupted operation.
• Preventive Maintenance: Plan and perform preventive maintenance and maintain schedules.
• Compliance and Safety: Follow health, safety and environmental policies and electrical codes.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Work with team, provide guidance, maintain records and reports.

What this job involves:

• Installation and Maintenance: Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of low voltage electrical systems, including but not limited to lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, security systems, emergency lighting, and access control.
• Testing and Inspection: Conduct regular testing and inspection of low voltage electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and relevant codes. Complete necessary documentation and reports accurately.
• Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve faults in low voltage electrical systems, using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques. Carry out repairs and replacements as necessary to ensure uninterrupted functionality.
• Preventive Maintenance: Carry out planned preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime, increase system reliability, and extend the lifespan of low voltage electrical systems. Create and maintain maintenance schedules.
• Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Comply with electrical regulations, codes, and standards to ensure safety and minimize risks. Report any hazards or incidents promptly.
• Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, contractors, and clients to achieve project goals and customer satisfaction. Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required. Documentation and
• Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, work orders, and equipment inventory. Ensure that relevant documentation and records are up to date.
