Job summary

JLL is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Rotherham to design, install and maintain low voltage electrical systems across commercial and industrial sites, including on-site Rolls-Royce projects.

You will perform preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and tests, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while collaborating with local and global teams. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• C&G Level 2/3 Diploma Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection cert preferred).
• 18th edition experience.
• Strong Electrical & HVAC experience.
• Knowledge of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
• Understanding of health and safety obligations in maintenance.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of low voltage electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, security systems, emergency lighting, and access control.
• Testing and inspection of low voltage electrical systems to ensure compliance with standards and codes; document reports.
• Fault diagnosis and repair of LV electrical systems using diagnostic tools and methods; perform replacements as needed.
• Preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend system life; create maintenance schedules.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies; comply with regulations and report hazards.
• Collaborate with team members, contractors and clients to achieve project goals; support junior staff.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, work orders and equipment inventory.

Hours: 40hrs Monday - Friday

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of low voltage electrical systems, including but not limited to lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, security systems, emergency lighting, and access control.
• Testing and Inspection: Conduct regular testing and inspection of low voltage electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and relevant codes. Complete necessary documentation and reports accurately.
• Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve faults in low voltage electrical systems, using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques. Carry out repairs and replacements as necessary to ensure uninterrupted functionality.
• Preventive Maintenance: Carry out planned preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime, increase system reliability, and extend the lifespan of low voltage electrical systems. Create and maintain maintenance schedules.
• Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Comply with electrical regulations, codes, and standards to ensure safety and minimize risks. Report any hazards or incidents promptly.
• Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, contractors, and clients to achieve project goals and customer satisfaction. Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required. Documentation and

Requirements:

• C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation (Or Equivalent)
• C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection cert preferred)
• 18th edition
• Strong Electrical & HVAC experience
• Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems
• Knowledge of building fabric and experience in carrying out basic fabric reactive repairs when required
• Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations about maintenance activities
• Must be prepared to work out of hours when required
• On call one in five weeks (allowance paid), JLL transport provided
• Have good communication and organisation skills
• Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude
• Must have a full UK driving license
• Ability to work on own or as part of a team
