Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) in Stansted for a full-time, permanent role with a £42,000 package plus a comprehensive benefits package. The role involves electrical installations, reactive maintenance, testing, fault diagnosis and repairs across diverse site environments.

You will work with a multi-trade team to ensure assets operate safely, efficiently and to the highest industry standards, with a strong focus on safety and compliant work practices.

Qualifications

• Qualified to BS 7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Proven understanding of complex electrical systems and building services.
• Ability to read drawings, wiring diagrams and maintenance manuals.
• Self-motivated, well-organized and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Installs: Execute electrical installations, fault diagnosis, routine inspections, and repairs across site systems, plant and equipment.
• Multi-Trade Collaboration: Assist and support wider engineering disciplines with wiring, calibration, alignment and general maintenance duties.
• Compliance & Work Orders: Use calibrated test equipment to identify faults and update maintenance work orders accurately.
• Uncompromising Safety Standard: Enforce Zero-Harm protocols including LOTO procedures, avoiding live work under any circumstances.
• Site Excellence: Maintain clean, organized work areas, participate in safety briefings and toolbox talks, and flag safety concerns.

About the Role

In this varied, hands-on role, you will lead electrical installation, reactive maintenance, routine testing, fault diagnosis, and remedial repairs across diverse site environments. Working alongside a collaborative multi-trade team, you will play a key part in ensuring all assets operate safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Installs: Execute electrical installations, fault diagnosis, routine inspections, and repairs across a variety of site systems, plant, and equipment.

• Multi-Trade Collaboration: Assist and support wider engineering disciplines with wiring, calibration, alignment, and general maintenance duties.

• Compliance & Work Orders: Utilize appropriate calibrated test equipment to identify faults and complete maintenance work order updates accurately.

• Uncompromising Safety Standard: Strictly enforce Zero-Harm protocols-including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures-ensuring no live working is undertaken under any circumstances.

• Site Excellence: Maintain clean, organized work areas, participate actively in regular safety briefings and toolbox talks, and confidently flag safety concerns when identified.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Regulatory Standard: Qualified to BS 7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

• Technical Proficiency: Proven understanding of complex electrical systems, building services plant, controls, and safe systems of work.

• Schematics: Ability to interpret and work accurately from technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals.

• Professional Attributes: Self-motivated, well-organized, and equally comfortable taking ownership independently or collaborating within a multi-skilled team.
