Job summary

WH Scott Group is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in the Bristol area. The role focuses on breakdown response, servicing and commissioning of overhead gantry cranes and lifting equipment, with installation support across the South East.

The candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical skills, including experience with three-phase control systems and PLCs, and a valid driving license with a willingness to travel (25%).

Qualifications

• Experience with preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Electrical engineering background with knowledge of three-phase control systems.
• Mechanical experience with motors, brakes, and reduction gearboxes.
• Familiarity with PLCs and inverter control systems (desirable).
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel (25% travel).

About The Role

As a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will:

• Support the installation of lifting equipment for a variety of customers across the South East.
• Work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure the highest quality of maintenance and service.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• Proven experience in preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Electrical engineering expertise with a solid understanding of three-phase control systems.
• Mechanical experience with medium to large motors, electro‑mechanical brakes, and reduction gearboxes.
• Familiarity with PLCs and inverter control systems (desirable but not essential).
• A valid driving license and a willingness to travel (25% travel required).
