Job summary
Vertu FM is recruiting a Commercial Gas Engineer to join a mobile team covering Glasgow, Edinburgh and Central Scotland. The role combines commercial gas servicing with general FM maintenance duties across a varied portfolio.
You will perform gas servicing, fault-finding, and basic plumbing, with responsibilities including fire alarm checks and safety compliance. A full UK driving licence and ACS qualifications are essential.
Qualifications
- Hold relevant Commercial Gas ACS qualifications.
- Hold CCN1 for the equipment serviced.
- Must have strong experience servicing and fault-finding on commercial gas appliances.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs on commercial gas and heating systems.
- Service, maintain and fault-find on boilers, water heaters, pipework and controls.
- Maintain and repair commercial gas appliances including cabinet heaters and boilers.
- Carry out general plumbing maintenance and minor FM tasks.
- Complete weekly fire alarm testing across client sites.
- Carry out water temperature monitoring and compliance checks.
- Complete emergency lighting checks and testing.
- Support air conditioning maintenance where qualified.
- Liaise with clients and site teams to ensure work is completed safely.
