Job summary

Fortem is seeking a Carpenter Multi Skilled Trade for a permanent role covering Taunton, Yeovil, Bridgewater, Chard and surrounding areas. You will perform carpentry, basic plumbing, and other trades on social housing properties with a focus on timely completion.

The role requires a full UK driving license, DBS check, and experience or qualification in carpentry. We offer a company van, fuel card, PPE, tools, and a generous annual bonus with holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds in Carpentry or equivalent, or qualified by experience.
• Full UK driving license (max 5 points) and no recent bans.
• Must be able to pass basic DBS check.
• Desirable: Social Housing experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete full carpentry and basic plumbing repairs for social housing properties.
• Inform Supervisor when other trades are required.
• Work with other operatives to complete projects.
• Record and submit accurate data using business systems.
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants and clients.
• Arrange purchase of materials to deliver works efficiently.
