Job summary

Metropolitan Thames Valley is hiring a Carpenter - Multi-Skilled to maintain and repair timber and related structures across our social housing properties in South London. You will join a dedicated property team, performing carpentry tasks and contributing to safe, quality repairs.

The role requires NVQ2 or equivalent, experience in social housing or local authorities, a full UK driving licence and a willingness to work second shifts and on-call duties. A company van and fuel card are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 qualification or equivalent trade experience.
• Experience in a social housing or local authority environment.
• Full UK manual driving licence and willingness to use a company van.
• Ability to participate in second shift and on-call service.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry tasks across social housing properties.
• Support residents with maintenance needs during shifts and on-call duties.
• Work hours are 40 per week, 8am–6pm, with second shift and on-call rotation.
• Operate the company van and fuel card provided.
