Mcghee’s Bakery in Glasgow is seeking a highly skilled Multi Skilled Bakery Engineer to maintain, repair, install and optimise bakery equipment to ensure smooth production.

The role requires mechanical knowledge and electrical understanding, with a focus on fault finding, continuous improvement, and working with production teams to improve machine performance.

Hours are 40 per week, with a Sunday to Thursday shift pattern and Saturdays available for overtime; on-site parking is provided.

Qualificações

• Time-served apprenticeship or recognised engineering qualification.
• Ideally 6 years experience (including apprenticeship).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication with production staff.
• Awareness of food safety, hygiene standards and HACCP principles.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and repair faults across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Minimise production downtime through effective fault finding and root cause analysis.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across the site.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimise machine performance and efficiency.
• Assist with machinery installations, upgrades and project work as required.
• Apply strong multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge, with a bias towards electrical systems.
