Job summary

Platform Property Care is seeking an experienced Multi Skill Carpenter to join our repairs and maintenance team across Malvern, Ledbury and Bromyard. You will perform carpentry, flooring, plastering, tiling and decoration to maintain our customers' homes to high standards, manage jobs from inspection to completion, and ensure right first-time delivery.

You will work in customers' homes with a focus on excellent service, flexible approach, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Carpentry with associated trade skills of Flooring, Plastering, Tiling and Decoration.
• Able to deliver and resolve a repair job from start to finish with multi-trade flexibility.
• Hold NVQ L2 Carpentry and maintain organisational skills to keep jobs on track.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of multi-skilled maintenance works in customers' homes.
• Manage jobs from inspection through to completion and post-inspection.
• Ensure works are completed to spec with right first time delivery.

Platform Property Care has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Multi Skill Carpenter based in Malvern, Ledbury and Bromyard to join our repairs and maintenance team to help us maintain and improve our homes.

What could you be doing?

You will be ensuring our customer's homes are maintained and repaired to a great standard. You will be an experienced Multi Skill Trades Carpenter who can carry out a range of multi skilled maintenance works such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, wall tiling, flooring, and decoration including major works. You will work closely with the Localities Area Manager in this area, to manage jobs from inspection, through carrying out the works independently and post inspection once works are completed. You will thrive on giving great customer service, keeping jobs on track and possess the drive to make sure the work is completed to spec. You'll have full control of your job completion, inclusive of materials and liaison with customers. The role is varied, and no two days are the same! It's a tough task and our expectations are high. In return you'll have the support of a great team! A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You'll be working in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication skills. You'll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering good customer service. You will also own the work issued and be focused on Right First-Time delivery.

Some things we need from you:

• You will be qualified in Carpentry with associated trade skills of Flooring, Plastering, Tiling and Decoration
• You'll have the ability to demonstrate an expertise in these trades and be able to deliver and resolve a repair job from start to finish.
• Experience of delivering Multi Trade work,
• You will be qualified to at least NVQ L2 Carpentry
• You will have good organisational skills and experience of keeping jobs on track
• And the personal drive to ensure works are completed quickly, efficiently and delivered right first time
• A full driving licence is essential as this is a mobile role, a van with fuel card is provided
• As you will be working within Customers' homes this role requires a DBS check., This role is mobile, so it is essential you have a current valid driving licence. Unfortunately, we cannot progress applications from applicants who do not hold this.
